An instant classic between Westlake and Olmsted Falls ended with a game winning buzzer beater by Gina Adams. The 38-37 win moves the Lady Demons into a first place tie with the Bulldogs in the SWC standings. Westlake trailed by as many as 8 points and never led until Adam’s 15-foot jumper went in as time expired. As usual Emma Hall hit three big 3-pointers to lead the Lady Demons in scoring. Gina Adams and Abby Carrington both finished with 8 points apiece.

Westlake vs. Olmsted Falls

An early season battle for first place lived up to the hype but unfortunately the Lady Demons ended up losing to Olmsted Falls 38-36. The Bulldogs defense held Westlake to just 9 points in the first half as they headed into the break with a 20-9 lead. The Lady Demons stormed back in the second half and narrowed the deficit to just 2 points. Ultimately the Bulldogs held onto the lead and won the game. These two teams will play again on January 25th.

The first SWC matchup of the season ended in a 2-2 tie on Saturday night. Both Westlake goals came from Sami Jablonski within minutes of each other in the second half. Westlake had a few chances late but were unable to find the back of the net.
